Huey’s Son Accessories & Apparel was created to express millennial style & nostalgia with historical Black aesthetics, figures, & events. In honoring our mission, we announce the National Hustler’s Ambition Scholarship.
This scholarship is geared towards High School graduating seniors entering the field/study of business and/or design (Graphic/Web/Fashion/Interior/Film, etc.) Students must currently have a 3.0 GPA or higher. Acceptance & plans to attend a post-secondary program is required (Trade school, community college, university, armed forces, etc). Applicants must be enrolled in a public high school within the United States (including public charter school districts).
How to apply:
To apply, applicants must submit a piece of art/product using a chosen visual/medium/art form that is a response to the provided prompt. Essays & research papers will not be accepted. Short works of film, graphic design, fashion design, painting, web pages, etc. are encouraged. The provided prompt and application can be found below.

Black Culture didn’t begin with slavery. From the use of drums as communication tools and instruments to soul food dinners and now internet meme culture and vernacular, Black Culture continues to span space and time. To explore the evolution of Black Culture, create an art piece that answers the prompt below:
What will Black Culture look like in the year 3000? How will history and the perseverance of the African Diaspora continue to be present?
